Greetings from Chile! Today, in this Digest, it is worth to highlight: a study showing associations between the use of antibiotics and the risk of appendicitis, a review about microbiota and colorectal cancer (CRC) risk and another review about markers for diabetes-associated chronic kidney disease. In addition, there are a set of papers about microbiome changes under short- and long-term antibiotic use in the animal lab, and microbiota changes in the treatment of non-model animals, such as the sika deer.
