Today, in this Digest, a study published in Nature showing exciting associations between the microbiome and the human serum metabolome; we also have different papers about different respiratory system health conditions, different paediatric studies, and studies on the microbiome in different genitourinary health conditions. It is worth to highlight as well another study (Ford et al., Molecular Biology and Evolution) about how in vivo microbiome coevolution can influence host immunity.
